I just learned about the Laguna Garzón Bridge in Uruguay and it's pretty cool! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laguna_Garz%C3%B3n_Bridge (Also, one of my neighbors is from Uruguay so I'm sort of interested in learning more about it.)

Today's bike ride to work sucked. Wearing a respirator for 30 minutes isn't very comfortable. I had to adjust it a few times and it was much worse breathing in the wildfire smoke so respirator it is. I can only assume our climate will get worse as time goes on so I figured I might want to get used to this. #BikeTooter #Wisconsin

I passed this kid riding what looks to be an emoto on the Oak Leaf Trail this morning. He was not riding like a dick, but definitely not pedaling, just throttle all the way. This is on part of the trail that is typically pretty empty, and this was around 7:15am. Didn't seem to be going crazy fast either so, eh... whatever.

Gosh, it's great to see corporations being so generous during a heat wave. "Fans may bring in one factory-sealed plastic water bottle (20 ounces or less) to Henry Maier Festival Park, excluding the American Family Insurance Ampitheater." https://onmilwaukee.com/articles/summerfest-water-policy

One of the ways people are noticing if software projects are using AI agents is if they magically add 10,000 lines of code because that’s not something a sane human does to their project one day.

Keep the pressure on. When we complain, push back, reject, and just say no to companies, orgs, projects, from doing AI related things, it gives them pause... they need to determine if they are alienating enough of their users, customers, audience to have an effect. If there is a announcement about some AI thing, let them know you hate it. #NoAI #FuckAI #AI

Last fall I got depressed driving home one day because of all the trees being ripped out along Lisbon Avenue as they rebuild it, add traffic circles, bike lanes, and other improvements. I was excited for the bike lanes but sad for the trees. (A lot of them were pretty tall.) Well, today I went down Lisbon and they are planting a *ton* of trees. They're maybe 5 to 7 feet tall, but it's a start. You plant trees for the future.
