  Related to the recent "what-did-Chrome-do-shipping-all-these-ugly-interest-invokers-they-must-be-evil-oh-wait-no-i-think-i-have-the-experimental-flag-set" flap: Would it be a good idea if browsers showed a clear "Experiments Engaged" message in their toolbar or somewhere if the experimental flag is engaged? I know from my QuirksMode testing days that this can be really really tricky to remember and a big, user-friendly visual might help.

  What type is a CSS counter? There is no type <counter>. It sure as hell isn't an <integer> (that's what I want, but it seems there's no easy way of converting it) or a <number>. <string>? Something else? No type at all? I am learning to hate counters.

  So the CSS Day ticket prices will go up next week. ... but I don't like the name 'Late Bird". I was thinking of 'Sloth tickets' or 'Slouch tickets', but I don't want to insult my wonderful, remarkable, beautiful, strong, forward-thinking, generous, (though possibly-the-tiniest-bit-slowish) potential attendees. Any ideas for a name?

  Is the email system breaking down? Just now I went to an art gallery and a board game shop, and both proprietors complained that their mails never arrive any more. Coming home, I discovered a mail I was expecting for days in my spam box, while there was no reason for doing so. Is the pressure getting too high or something? It's getting impossible to mail people.

  I bought a new city bike. After a bikeless period of at least 16 months or so, maybe longer. For the first five minutes I biked like a tourist; all kinds of navigational, Amsterdam bike rule-following, and collision avoidance systems had to come online from their long slumber. But it went better during the next 15 minutes of bike ride. My muscles, unfortunately, are completely atrophied and will need a few weeks to reset. ... pant ...

  So it appears that - the content property of ::before doesn't accept integers as a value - it is not possible to convert an integer to a string in CSS Use case: print out values of sibling-index() and a few friends for research purposes.
