Why is a strikethrough called a line-through in CSS?
It's been like that since at least 1998, but I forget every time I need it.

@ppk@front-end.social looks like it was assumed to be that name in 1995: “text-decoration should probably be multi-valued…"blink" and "line-through" seem as though they could peacefully coexist.” (!) https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/1995Nov/0012.html (this is the earliest reference I’ve found so far)
