@ppk The entire front-end scene has changed since the first CSS Day conference, I think. The drive to be good at foundational HTML, CSS, and JS was higher than it is today. It wasn't yet diluted by frameworks (React had its first dedicated conf in 2015, looks like), AI as code slaves, and a web conference provided a real, focussed boost in knowledge and "artisanship". Not sure if that's really the case, or how me being grumpy about this changes anything for the better, but yeah. I feel the frustration.
