  Someone should make an email service where spam doesn't exist. Like, 99.999999%. I feel like I get more spam with Fastmail than when I was self-hosting.

  I put my spacebar on my Compaq MX-11800 the wrong way so I took it off but the switch flew off and I haven’t been able to fix it so the spacebar doesn’t continuously press. So now I’m looking at needing soldering tools and a new switch…but if I gotta buy all that stuff, might as well have all new switches, right? I’m annoyed.

  A weird side effect of the prevalence of LLMs is my increased focus on ensuring my code is solid af. I used to code faster but am taking a more methodical approach to coding. I use Claude extensively to build things I don't have the bandwidth for and when I get around to checking out its code, I rewrite it because it comes with unnecessary boilerplate or doesn't remember my coding preferences. Idk, just a random "ah, interesting" thought.

  The new Mario film was fantastic. Just watched it with my boy and we stayed for the AFTER after credit scene. I won't spoil who makes an appearance but you can find that for yourself if you want. Looking forward to an eventual Smash Bros film but I feel like we need a few Metroid and Zelda films first. DK needs his own film(s) too.
