  starting a new thread to talk about terminal stuff the terminal apps which apple ships with the mac is kind of weird. it comes with vim which isn't really too surprising, but it also comes with pico for some reason? it doesn't even come with pine, so i'm not sure why they don't just ship nano. emacs isn't here

  started my morning by playing doom on my sun ultra 10 :3 this is a build of chocolate doom i complied myself on this computer. at max settings, it consistently runs at around 25-30fps at max settings, which isn't super amazing or anything, but considering it's a fairly modern source port running with the overhead of a full unix system and desktop, i think it's fairly impressive! it's super playable and very cool to play it on a 1998 unix workstation
