These are various stories I noted down mostly last year to show kids: China’s CO2 emissions have been flat or falling for past 18 months, analysis finds https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/nov/11/china-co2-emissions-flat-or-falling-for-past-18-months-analysis-finds Global renewable energy generation surpasses coal for first time https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/oct/07/global-renewable-energy-generation-surpasses-coal-first-time H1 2025: China installs more solar than rest of th...

2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 In 2026 if a prominent CCC account does not understand that particulate filtration doesn't affect gas composition… …well what can even be said. Mildly puzzling, and just not credible. Engagement farming I guess? Recycling the old 2021 bangers? Also in this basket, prominent CCC accounts that in 2026 are yet to notice the gaping chasms either side of their nose, bypassing the filter. There's just no excuse this far on the journey.

Couple of interesting BA.3.2 threads, the links contain embedded images in proper location. Both loosely around the idea that BA.3.2 is circling around in a local maxima. https://xcancel.com/SolidEvidence/status/2049203093938593920 Marc Johnson @SolidEvidence Apr 28, 2026 · 7:04 PM UTC BA.3.2 is strange is so many ways. It's now 17 months old, which is really quite old for a COVID lineage. Every so often there is a sweeping lineage that displaces everything in circulation, but when that...

Past couple of days: Grumpy old man special interest forum, forty year old asks about new memory problems. Everyone chimes in with their memory loss stories, the sixty and seventy year olds also, most saying it's normal and forty year olds shouldn't remember things. Hmmmmm. 🤔 Gaming chat, much muuuuuch younger cohort, teens, twenties, someone mentions they've had a migraine of varying intensity since September. They've mentioned it before, some days it incapacitates. Then o...

Saw several recent posts saying if governments enforced clean air in schools, the pandemic would be over. No, it would not, for technical and social reasons. I had the misfortune to live in a state where the government once tried to do the right thing, and the people absolutely sabotaged it. First I must stress: REDUCE CLASSROOM INFECTIONS BY A THIRD (best result of clean air) means YOU STILL FUCKING LOST. The child finishes school with 4 infections instead of 6. They still have a brain ful...
