Past couple of days: Grumpy old man special interest forum, forty year old asks about new memory problems. Everyone chimes in with their memory loss stories, the sixty and seventy year olds also, most saying it's normal and forty year olds shouldn't remember things. Hmmmmm. 🤔
Gaming chat, much muuuuuch younger cohort, teens, twenties, someone mentions they've had a migraine of varying intensity since September. They've mentioned it before, some days it incapacitates. Then others mention similar, and impaired sleep, and memory loss, and relying on energy drinks to get to school, and so on. ⚡
No-one mentions why. It's just normal now. They seem reassured that everyone else is having the same experience. 🙌

@mediaevalfishsandwich my students had a conversation about flu and ongoing headaches. As one of them said: masks matter, I don't ever want to get sick like that again And there was general agreement

@mediaevalfishsandwich @ShaulaEvans Yeah. I know my migraines got worse when I had COVID. I hate that we are physically screwing with kids' brains by forcing them to attend superspreader institutions with no regulations / protections in place (and no honest public messaging about their risks either!)
