RE: https://vt.social/@lina/116975435851200366 just poisoning the well with horrible java code I wrote 5 years ago and one shitty Wordle clone I did in C 4 years ago on an account which I have no access over too bad they haven't scrapped the Bext backend I wrote, that would be funny.

trying to write a DSL for my danmaku engine (so that I can easily design and compose patterns) somehow, i'm always drawn to faux-Lisps as a design guide? i personally think it just kinda looks nice (also someone in BHA (I can't remember who) has their own Lisp-like DSL for their engine, so I guess I'm also stealing from them :p)

rewriting half of what used to be a very simple python script with about 30 classes so that I can handle multiple layers in my engine (so that I can do Cloud Girl With Ink :tm: (patent pending))

so close to just parsing the aseprite file directly instead of using the JSON export rn
-
Post #3993073
can Aseprite really not split by group when exporting to a spritesheet? the closest alternative would be to split by layer, but that creates like way too many layers (which would waste a ton of space and would incur me a lot of draw calls/overdrawing when rendering which is not ideal) ftr: I'm asking this so that I can have two layers with different blending modes (so one where the 'character' is, and another showing half-transparant clouds, for example.)

i love optimising the image renderers because after a while you get random parameters I can't name properly

Spent like a full day rewriting a good chunk of my image rendering code to save like 2µs/image on the 'stresstest' (it just draws 1000 33x33 images and logs the rendertime lol) i mean that's not nothing but i expected a lot more lmao

(sorry for YT link, turns out I can't send files larger than 1MB inlined) Got back into actually writing code for my game lately, with actual homing bullets... kinda. They're a bit too OP in the video and kinda go everywhere sometimes. (I did lower the rate in which they spawn after recording this, which makes them waaay more reasonable): https://youtu.be/9LWhxPivvCY Additionally, decided to partially steal the "modern" lifebar system (a ring around the boss), which is done b...

what if she actually did write the works she promised to put on the imperial archives, and just never actually sent them? perhaps then would the incident resolvers be the first to see of them. Imperial Archive "Sixty Views of the Night Sky" Imperial Archive "Five Notes of the Great Song"
