@nina_kali_nina@tech.lgbt it's an abbreviation ADZE stands for Agressive Dissector Z-plane Edge, ADXE and ADYE are for blades in X-plane and Y-plane respectively. Here's a 3d-rendering showing the AD*E axis naming convention. Axe is just a common misspelling of ADXE, which became acceptable like disk/disc

Guess who has a looper, a #microtonal guitar that also kinda works as bass and a surprizing amount of commitment? I&#39;ve 3d-printed and temporarily glued custom fretlets of perfect height and shape to try this famous 24TET #AngineDePoitrine stuff. I had to do it before investing into building proper microtonal double-neck and other fancy gear.

It&#39;s not just that I&#39;m very skeptical about the tonewood concept. I have pretty punk background, so I&#39;ve dealt with lots of guitars, that can be concidered bad. But never in my life have I seen a #guitar body made of chipboard. Like, literally #particleboard, the stuff that #crappyfurniture is made of. The neck is fine, I can work with it, but even a hoarder like me can&#39;t think of a reason not to throw the body to trash. #punkasfuck

I&#39;ve decided to go for it. I&#39;m building a replica of Doubleneck de Poitrine. I&#39;ve bought a 40€ #guitar and a 50€ #bass, laid out a rough shape and I&#39;m gonna buy some #tonewood in a local hardware store now. Maybe I used the wrong search terms or didn&#39;t scroll the search results for too long, but I didn&#39;t find any good D-shaft knobs on Printables/Thingiverse. I should probably be immediately hired by Apple, I achieved my peak of evil engineering. One of mounting screws of a switch is accessible only through a hole, where the barrell jack is mounted later.
