Been a while since posting one of these. Perhaps reflective of recent coffee blends or of a psyche low tide. #RorschachLatte

This morning's walk in the rain brought to you by the first tiger milkweed butterfly caterpillar I've seen in I don't know how long. #butterflies #hike

There were a lot of Red Efts roaming the woods yesterday. Most of their vernal pools were long gone, even mossy wetlands were out of water, but the two days of rain was a huge boon for everything. #RedEfts #NHwx

Someone recently posted that juvenile Cardinals were kind of splotchy. Would this be one? #birds #cardinals

I have a few devices where the micro usb is starting to fail. Turns out it is possible to convert to USB-C, if you can get the device open and have soldering skills. There are replacement USB-C plugs that have a tiny board with same pin layout (and pwr resistors), just gotta pick the right voltage/ground orientation. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256811428615831.html This video shows the steps, albeit with all manner of triggering solder crimes. 😬 https://youtu.be/q04QQ6BnO8I #electronics #u...

The sky was spectacular on this morning's ride. 54°F (12C) at the start and low 70's (21C) by the end of the 32 mile (52km) loop. #BikeTooter

Kick back for a luxuriously filmed gravel bike build. Genesis website calls this, "Stone Temple Violets". https://youtu.be/dw_RGht9EDs #BikeTooter #CroixDeFer #GravelBike

The filming and editing of this guy's videos (and cleanup) is surely going to become a channel of its own someday. He mostly posts shorts, the 3rd image shows how to turn shorts into a normal video that's easier to pause, back up, and has less UI covering it. https://youtu.be/ufDBXKMFju8 #construction #building

Tried getting phone to take photo at intersection of water and air, but really only got one or the other. Maybe without waves it would work.

Raspberries and blueberries ripening this week so we've been picking some each evening. About two cups haven't been consumed, so time to bake. Mostly did this spoon cake. Substituted lime, since that's what's drying out on the counter, and added some creamy yogurt. Didn't make it GF since wife is out of town and this won't last until her return. Maybe there will be enough berries for a GF version on her arrival? https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/hot-summer-spoon...

Ignoring all of the usual garbage in the ditches, the standouts on today's ride include: 1. 12vdc car lighter powered baby bottle warmer 2. 8ft of clear vinyl tubing (last ride it was blue PEX) 3. Sheet rock knife 4. Heavy duty windshield breaker
