  fuck, ok, how do i find this it was a writeup about LLMs by someone on here who talked about how the tokens - not the payment tokens but rather the small chunks of info that get selected from - are created and picked from etc i think it was a female writer? it was not timnit gebru. it was fairly recent, last 6ish months i would say. it was not an academic paper but rather more of a lengthy blog post

  apparently #portfolioDay is a thing? i do a lot of other artistic/crafty things (leatherworking, fiber arts) but one of my mediums is block printing! so i'll share a few of those all are worked from original photographs, either my own or with permission of the photographer here, the pidge is based on a photo by the talented @studiochris and the quorbs (quail orbs) are from the lovely @handmade_ghost the loon is my own photography, and my wife took the raccoon photo all my everythin...

  hey fedi, offfer for you all. --- Edit: CLOSED --- this is an elretron penna. it's a wireless bluetooth keyboard that takes 2 AA batteries. I found that the bluetooth is pretty dodgy, and couldn't get it to reconnect after the first connection. It also probably needs a firmware update (because of the bluetooth issues I wasn't able to) HOWEVER, y'all are smart folks! So, two offers, in order: 1. If someone thinks they can rehab this device, it's yours...

  hey screen reader users of the fediverse, do you have thoughts on how anchor links/heading permalinks should be handled? when i say anchor links i mean links to individual headings on a web page, usually there so users can easily get a link to that heading without having to check the HTML for the heading's id element i'm trying to figure out where to land in terms of not creating too much repetitiveness (fully repeating the heading seems like a lot) vs not making the links too generic...
