The saga of my vehicular inactivity vs my car battery continues. It turned over first try this time, amazingly, so I went on a little joy ride to charge it before dropping off the rent check. (Yes I have to write and drop off a paper check. It's the eighties out here.) I saw a very long train and some black steers, unrelated to the train. I did not see the donkeys, probably because I had my phone camera ready for them.

It's been raining on and off (mostly on) since about 3 this afternoon. I am beyond thrilled. We need it so badly. It's supposed to rain tomorrow too.

My oldest friend (tenure, not age) is also my emergency contact for medical things. I reminded her of this and she proceeded to text an entire dossier she's got of me and Dog, asking if anything needed updating. Mind like a steel trap, that one.

Yesterday was hard. One month since Mom died. Feels a lot longer and also a lot shorter. Time still is all weird and stretchy. I'll get back to normal sooner or later. I hope sooner. This is weird.

Luna moth #embroidery update post. I like doing long-and-short stitches for gradients. I think I'm going to use some of my iridescent kimono thread for the veining between the green parts - I have some blackish stuff that should work a treat.

Would really love to know how many plays Sweet's Ballroom Blitz has gotten this past few days.

Talking to my neighbor, I got the report of all the other neighbors observing me. "You had someone banging on your door today?" Yes I did. I noticed, thanks. "And she saw you went to the store or something yesterday, your car was gone." Sure did. "She hasn't seen you and your dog in a while but I told her you walk her later, when I get back from bingo." They really put the watch in neighborhood watch.

They gerrymandered Florida again today. It's worse now.

#FountainPens I have a conundrum. I let my kakuno go dry (my bad!) and now it doesn't want to write properly. I disassembled it, cleaned it, dried it, reassembled it, reinked it, and I've barely got ink coming out. Same ink as before. Do I need to take it apart and put it back together more carefully? Soak it again? Please advise.
