@indi put the section in a cup of water with a few drops of white (not sudsy) ammonia and let it soak overnight. That should get the ink residue out of the feed. Unless you have an ultrasonic cleaner, you can send it through there for a few minutes and it'll break the deposits right up.

@indi I find warm water helps alot when flushing and soaking. Applies to converters as well as nibs. Also do you have access to an ultrasonic cleaner? One of those small ones for cleaning eyeglasses and some types of jewelry. Then flush again to get dried bits of ink out. I am cleaning a friend's Pilot FP now that has been sitting with ink in it for a long time. Am about to fill it and have fingers crossed. These steps have worked in the past but I never know on any one pen.

@indi How far did you disassemble it? The nib and feed are friction fit into the section and will pull (straight out, don't twist!) for the most thorough cleaning. Soaking or using an ultrasonic cleaner are good, pen flush can help, but sometimes nothing beats pulling the nib and feed.

@indi @penfount What ink did you have in there? If it was pigment ink it might need a much more thorough cleaning. If it was dye, some more soaking (overnight) should do the trick
