I hate waiting for people to respond to my messages. Why is it soooooooo long? How hard is it?? This is weighing on me like crazy. Are other autistic people here impatient for some things? For me, if I see any tiny tiny progress, I'm good. But nothing? I'm losing my mind. #ActuallyAutistic

I've been working with a career counselling for the past couple months and we're close to the end of the process. Before my next appointment, I wanted to "shadow" professionals in a certain field to get an idea of their day-to-day. At first I didn't have the answers I was (impatiently) waiting for, so I asked to push the appointment. As I got the responses, I now w...

@adelinej @autistics Before my diagnosis, I was treating anxiety with my shrinks. One of the reframing that helped me the most was the relentless questioning "is this problem/stress/etc actual or potential"? This helped remind me that right now I'm safe. Even during the event in question I could use that question to help me realize that right now I'm safe. I'm thinking about getting my first tattoo. It seems best if I work on the illustration first. I'm looking for advice, you can tell me if any of my assumptions is wrong or if I should think differently about any part of it. So let's say I want to commission an artist for a 15x15 cm drawing, how much should I expect to pay? Where can I find such artist? How do you find the right tattoo artist? What was your process and what did you appreciate about it? #tattoo
