https://galley.house might be the best domain I've ever bought. It's just so short and easy to remember. It also works as https://the.incident.at.galley.house but the rest of the team told me that was a bad URL. (our awesome website was designed by https://petiterevolte.com/en)

People will say game dev is their dream job but they don’t know the job involves resizing logos all morning into a dozen different sizes per locale

I know playtests are meant to unearth bugs, but I cringe so hard every time something I messed up gets in a player's way.

I took my senior chihuahua to get all his frail teeth removed and I feel so bad seeing him in pain. I know it’s for the best but the lil guy is just not feeling well.

Strong recommend: The Race for Space album by Public Service Broadcasting. It's a mixture of electronic music and historical clips from the space race. It's great to pump you up and I found it even more impactful given Artemis II. Start with "Go!"

Is it normal for #Godot games on Metal to beachball if the shader cache is empty for 60-90s? My game is currently doing it even on the most powerful macs and I'm curious if I've done something wrong. see: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/106757#issuecomment-4210263990

I got a new M5 MAX laptop and have been using it as my daily driver for a few weeks. It's really great! I found Windows was getting clunky and annoying to use. I know people don't love the latest MacOS but it feels nice and refreshing to me compared to Windows 11.

@renata I upgraded from M1 and it was a big jump!

I've had quite a few reports from users who have very white screens in Roottrees on newer Nvidia drivers. I have a 5090 and it works fine. It only happens in Vulkan and not in OpenGL. The github issues for godot don't seem to have anyone else reporting it. Anyone have a lead? #GodotEngine #Godot

Wax Heads interviewed Jeremy about game design, writing, and 80s music. Roottrees will also be in a bundle with them on May 5th when their game comes out. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2754380/view/498352656701457223

A few years ago I made a semi-popular video on graphics in old Sierra games and my attempt to upscale them. https://youtu.be/sclZDCjUVvI?si=vPguskEYHT0x__Ha

Time and time again we relearn the lesson that private, for profit entities like Reddit and Twitter will always screw over their communities without a second thought. Mastodon or Discourse might be more expensive or technical to run the way your community would like, but they can never pull the rug out from underneath you.

My friends at jamwitch are on a roll! They made a Roottrees-like language deduction game during a jam in just 72 hours, and it's super fun. I played through it in one sitting: https://jamwitch.itch.io/trevosa
