  @georgemonbiot.bsky.social What's good for me is that the Labour Party can see a massive load of voters to their left; and NOT just as the Far Right Media keep suggesting ex-Labour or discontented Labour voters moving to Reform ... Hopefully they will get rid of Starmer and move back to their roots too. Better yet seeing the massive left leaning vote, decide that they need to pass voting change (as they promised) so we can see left governments elected Even if not a single party.

Indeed I was surprised and concerned about the numbers given that the average turnout in the UK is usually in the 60% s even around 70% (I still think that's low.... but normal sadly) Also by-Elections are usually marked by better turn outs But having checked it ... Wikipedia tells us that the turn out did drop from previous GE, but only from 48...

Nor restrict their power for the same reason. Finally they tell them that they should be allowed guns... not so the workers can rise up.... but so they (the rich) can employ their own private army of armed "security"
