Your daily schadenfreude. “Facebook’s miscalculation about its ability to pursue finance as a new line of business, compounded by its miscalculation about investors’ patience for the metaverse as a new line of business, compounded by Apple’s ability to leverage its monopoly to damage Facebook's core business have left Facebook weaker in the markets and in our culture than at any point in recent memory.” https://www.vice.com/en/article/epzkne/facebooks-monopoly-is-imploding-before-our-e...

If I could bind everyone to my idiosyncratic platform design preferences, I’d want an exponential back-off for active users’ post/boost time and what’s sent to followers. Space out the posts from high-frequency users to leave some bandwidth in the reverse chron timeline for everyone else!
