  LegalEagle has a video explaining how Musk’s defamation suit against Media Matters isn’t a defamation suit and probably won’t win because it admits that MM’s report was truthful. But that’s only in the real world. To rightwingers like #Musk, defamation is when you say truthful things that make them look bad.   TPM has excerpts from a book on Bernie’s 2020 campaign, saying his plans hinged on winning the first three states; especially Iowa. His experts were wrong. Biden lost those states and it made no difference. The Bandwagon-Momentum Theory is a media myth. GOP nominees have almost always lost the Iowa caucus including Reagan, Bush Sr, and Trump.   EmptyWheel has excerpts from the Hunter Laptop repairman’s book about how he tried to make a video of him lying to the FBI about the contents of Hunter’s emails but was thwarted when they spotted his camera and sat in the wrong seats.   @crooksandliars I think one of the biggest causes of the post-Covid inflation was the media constantly hyping up inflation, making people accept it so businesses felt more comfortable raising prices even more to see how far they could go. And they blamed Biden, not businesses for higher prices. Supply & Demand is based on people choosing cheaper alternatives when prices go up. But if people simply accept higher prices the market can’t function properly.

  TPM reports that #Trump was talking so loud during E. Jean Carroll‘s testimony that the judge had to threaten to kick him out and even then Trump was talking back to the judge in a way that might have had him jailed for contempt if it was anyone else. It’s not intentional. The dude was unable to control his mouth even back when Biden had to tell him to shut up in their debate and he’s now totally brain broken. The best part is listening to him proudly explain how he came up with the idea of referring to Iowa corn as “nonliquid gold”. You know, as opposed to how gold is liquid.
