  So, if I understand the conclusion to last night's #Monsterdon correctly : Super-intelligent wolves use the slums of New York as their hunting grounds. Specifically they hunt humans. Poor ones that nobody cares about. They (the wolves) are opposed to urban renewal because it would displace poor people. Displacing poor people is bad because they serve the purpose of providing a food source for wolves. The moral of the story is that It would be better and/or more in tune with nature to...

  So, a few moments ago I saw a reference to the film "The Day After Tomorrow". I like that film and was wondering if it was based on a book. Turns out it is. It's based on the non-fiction book "The Coming Global Superstorm" That book was written by Art Bell and Whitley Strieber. I'd never heard of Whitley Strieber, so I looked him up, and it turns out he's best known for his debut novel "The Wolfen". #Monsterdon

  Thinking about it more, last night's #Monsterdon "Earth vs the Spider" was obviously set in some sort of isolated pocket-world. Maybe a natural plateau like in "The Lost World", but probably something more artificial like "The Truman Show", or "It's a Good Life". Think about it. Nobody ever leaves town, and the only characters are locals known personally to the sheriff.The long distance lines are out, and never fixed.The nearby, but out-of-town...

  One thing I liked from last night's #monsterdon movie was how the guy was able to instantly pull out a diorama of the land surrounding his house. That actually seems like a fun project. Except, mine wouldn't be a diorama of rich man's large estate in the country. It would be a diorama of a old fashioned New England suburb. But that could still be fun.

  When I moved here a year ago there were some bird-houses up, but they were rotting. So I today I upgraded them to two new bird-houses that my niece and nephew gave me. I hope the birds appreciate it.

  Looking at Steam's "Medieval Fest", I've learned : If a game has combat, its promo art must feature a grim knight who is not making eye contact with the viewer. If a game does not have combat its promo art must feature a smiling lady who is making eye contact with the viewer. This has nothing to do with whether those characters feature in the game or not.

  For months now, whenever I open a can of cat food, I always grab two cans from the assortment pack, and let my cat choose which one I open. I read the flavors out loud, show him the pictures, and let him sniff the cans. I've noticed a pattern. Every time, he pays close attention through this whole ritual, considers both options, and then, without fail, he chooses the can in my left hand.
