I work with/for a tiny nonprofit progressive school, as their development director; I help them tell their story, too. I enjoy cooking and chatting about cooking. I like the smell of coffee, prefer to drink tea. Will occasionally comment on/review/recommend movies or TV series.I'm an outdoorsy person; I like to bike, hike, and swim, though I'm not competitive about it. Lounging in bed late at night, listening to a Loon’s haunting call. The Loon goes silent, and a chorus of frogs fill in with a sustained rhythmic burr of chirps. At my elbow, the cat purrs and grooms himself, his tongue sometimes rasping against the duvet cover. Finally he stretches and settles, elongated against me. I am ready to turn off the light and sleep.

I work for a tiny nonprofit school here in Vermont, and since 1984 we&#39;ve held an annual Spring/Mother&#39;s Day &quot;Brunch Bag&quot; fundraiser. Well that was damned delicious. Some wonderful fedicook posted a recipe or a link to a recipe for vegan creamy mushroom soup. Since dairy is not being my friend right now, I thought I&#39;d give it a try. I am proud to say that I was at least one of the people who -- after reading about Tendo&#39;s kidnapping from another Vermont community member here on Mastodon -- immediately alerted a local paper though their online tip reporting. Within a very few hours of sending the tip, the local paper made it front page news and kept it there. So. Mastodon and rapid community response/support FTW. I&#39;ll never know if what I did helped this situation, but I&#39;ll do it again in a heartbea...
