I am proud to say that I was at least one of the people who -- after reading about Tendo's kidnapping from another Vermont community member here on Mastodon -- immediately alerted a local paper though their online tip reporting.
Within a very few hours of sending the tip, the local paper made it front page news and kept it there.
So. Mastodon and rapid community response/support FTW. I'll never know if what I did helped this situation, but I'll do it again in a heartbeat.

"Jill Martin Diaz, executive director of the Vermont Asylum Assistance Project, credited the community response for keeping Tendo’s detention in the spotlight and said the Friday ruling reaffirmed that the rule of law prevails."
