Saturday Kitchen is celebrating it's 20th anniversary. Which is impressive for a show that's been on TV since 2002.

A very enjoyable tromp along the #canal this evening, cut short because swans have nested under one of the bridges, and have cygnets.* They nest here most years and we will usually walk past giving a wide berth, but not while they have babies in the nest. I'm not risking a broken arm just for a walk. 😉 *spelling corrected.

There was just an ad on the TV for Kentucky. Visitor numbers to the US going well under the orange menace then.

A friend has sent me this post card in the actual post. She has pretty much nailed it.

Spent the evening as part of the Archdeacon's team at the first of the AD Visitation services.I spent far too much of my time being distracted by the high table being slightly off centre. *Shudders*

My dog is at the vet having a routine operation. I am as nervous as a new father awaiting news. Worse in fact. I've changed. https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExaGVhYms4MHM0eXYwY29kbndxbjBza2I5Nm5kaTZ2Y3pvN2Nwenp6OCZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/2uwZ4xi75JhxZYeyQB/giphy.gif

Just watched an old episode of Gogglebox. Shows watched in this episode were presented by Gino deCampo, Greg Wallace and Phillip Schofield. So, yeah. That's aged well.

Beginning to think seriously about migrating instances. Been a while since I've done this, so will need to remind myself what gets moved and what doesn't...

If you're getting new following notifications from me, fear not. It's not a phishing attempt but I'm in the process of moving instances

I've spent much of the late afternoon trying to log into a service I use that requires 2FA. No matter how I approached it I could not get it to send me a verification code, so I've been pouring over solutions assuming I screwed some thing up. Gave up some hours ago. Just received 13 codes in a succession of notifications, all arrived at 22:48.

I honestly don't know how the UK doesn't come home with the #Eurovision trophy this year. The entry is so ridiculously Eurovision. https://invidious.materialio.us/watch?v=niMKvJ-Itq8

Of all the moronic, idiotic...... Wax2's girlfriend asking for references from me because the NHS won't accept email addresses they deem to be personal, including gmail, hotmail, outlook, protonmail etc. So she can't use the small nursery she's worked at for years can't give them because they use gmail. Ludicrous, corporate idiocy.

The BBC is like that elderly relative that tries hard but always slightly gets it wrong. You know who I mean, the one who thinks they bought you a Transformer but somehow gave a plastic robot that doesn't do anything. So it is with the BBC. They say "podcast" but they mean broadcast radio on catch-up. "Visualised podcast" when they mean a normal TV show but you can see the microphones. "Your BBC" when they mean a mouth piece of a v...

No elections in my ward this year, we went to the polls last year. But do get out and vote if you can. Note: To ReformUK Ltd. Voters, I've just read that you don't have to go to the polls, your vote will be counted in your absence. So feel free to put your feet up and stay home.

People who contribute to SatNav apps that display user submitted alerts really need to learn to distinguish between actual police cars and any other white vehicle that just happens to have warning chevrons on it. No. That is not a police car or mobile speed trap. It's a motorway officer, a highways maintenance vehicle, a bloody ambulance car.

Hey Starmer: The lesson here is not to move further right. You are failing to show the alternatives, you need to move back to the centre-left....what....wait....where are you going....come back....not THAT way.......

Well that'll make a nice change...... The GWR spokesperson said: "Throughout this process, our priority will be maintaining a punctual, reliable service for customers while continuing to support regional growth and connectivity across our network." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy02yyl1e7xo?at_medium=RSS&at_campaign=rss

Happy Europe day to those who remain in the flawed but worthwhile experiment of peace and cooperation. And to all like me who hope that one day sanity will return and the UK might be able to return.

I keep seeing posts saying three ReformUK Ltd. Councillors have resigned since being elected 2 days ago. But I can't find anything to corroborate this. Anyone seen similar with a verifiable link? Allegedly it was two in the London boroughs and one in Nottingham.

I am genuinely astounded by the number of posts I'm seeing screaming outrage at Google #chrome dumping a 4GB local ai on PCs without permission. That then follow it with "here is how to disable it". Seriously. Uninstall. Stop using Google services. Remove everything they do from your workflow. Show them how outraged you really are.

I can''t log into my webhost because Cloudflare verification isn't working. So in order to protect me, I am unable to use the service I pay for. Great. I want to go back to a web that didn't have all this crap.

Apparently it's St George's day and people in England are expected by people on certain platforms to post flags in some sort of jingoistic orgy of patriotism. So here goes: #ReJoinEU

Can anyone advise me on #ElectricBikes #eBikes? I'm having to replace my lovely Cube Travel Pro after it got stolen and am considering moving to an ebike. The things I loved about the Cube were the Gates Drive carbonfibre 'chain' and the Alfine hub gears. But these seem to be hard to find on ebikes. The one I have found with a Gates Drive doen't have any tradtional gesrs. Is this an issue in a bike with an electic motor?

What the point of advertising Railways on TV? Does anyone think "oh I must travel by GWR" Surely everyone just uses the network(s) that serve the starting and destination stations you need?
