  I feel like I'm starting to understand why some parents prefer private schools or homeschooling. And this is weird, because when I was a kid, I was of the opinion that private schools were elitist and unnecessary. But if trends continue, I'm not sure anymore. This is a good read.   I remember when Boyan Slat gave his TED talk, many laughed at him. Me included. What is this kid saying? Who does this kid think he is? Now look at how far he's come. And he lets his employees get the spotlight too! He doesn't need to be the talking face all the time. Never doubt the kids with dreams and the gumption to chase them.   The amount of ignorance about why #Canadians can't view news on Instagram and other #socialmedia is staggering. Bill C-18 was passed a while back to force social media to pay #news organizations for news. You can argue that it was poorly conceived, you can argue that the negative effects are worse than the benefits, you can argue a lot of valid reasons why it's a bad idea. You CANNOT argue that Trudeau is suddenly trying to censor the news to control narratives in #canada.

  My daughter is 2. Lately, when she asks what something is, I answer in English and my wife answers in Korean. Then my daughter tells me I'm wrong and tries to teach me the name of the thing I identified for her using the Korean she learned from mom. My words are never the right ones. Feels like a lifelong experience of her feeling like I don't know anything is just starting. #parenthood #fatherhood #kids

  The most important skill for writing a paper is using any and all tricks possible to shorten your sentences so that your paragraphs maximize page use. MS Word leaving massive space at the bottom of a page just because it can't fit two lines (really 1.1 lines, depending on the length of your second line) for the end of your paragraph and instead putting those two lines (really, 1.1 lines) on the next page?
