The amount of ignorance about why #Canadians can't view news on Instagram and other #socialmedia is staggering. Bill C-18 was passed a while back to force social media to pay #news organizations for news. You can argue that it was poorly conceived, you can argue that the negative effects are worse than the benefits, you can argue a lot of valid reasons why it's a bad idea. You CANNOT argue that Trudeau is suddenly trying to censor the news to control narratives in #canada.
