  Back in Nixon’s day, there was a Deep Throat. I am really surprised that in all this time, a journalist hasn’t been able to sneak into Mitch’s hospital room or bern able to find a doctor, nurse, or orderly to speak off the record. I am really disappointed in modern journalism for so many reasons. Too many articles wrapped around social media posts and not enough actual verification and investigation.

  Not sure how to make this any more clear to US politicians: it’s not Canada’s responsibility to subsidize the US alcohol industry. Canadians would not buy it in any amount if our provincial liquor stores stocked it again, so it would only be buying a product to collect dust on shelves.   I am listening to an audiobook that is set in Toronto, written by a Canadian author, but narrated by an American, who has never spent time in Ontario. I dismissed her mispronunciation of Halliburton, but, holy Hannah, she just gave Etobicoke a mangling. I had to replay it to figure out what she meant. I can't believe a narrator would not learn regional pronunciations of place names and there is just no excuse for what she just said. ;)

  Why Canada doesn't want US cheese? So much Can & European cheese! We don't use bovine growth hormone. This isn't so much a problem for humans (not enough passes into the milk), but it is problematic for the cows. It causes pain, more vet bills, more antibiotics to deal with infections, it is just unnecessary cruelty for the animals, so we & EU have banned its use.
