I am listening to an audiobook that is set in Toronto, written by a Canadian author, but narrated by an American, who has never spent time in Ontario. I dismissed her mispronunciation of Halliburton, but, holy Hannah, she just gave Etobicoke a mangling. I had to replay it to figure out what she meant. I can't believe a narrator would not learn regional pronunciations of place names and there is just no excuse for what she just said. ;)
