  Fausto fizzeled off to the north w/o bringing much needed rain, Kilauea spewed viscous bits of mantle overnight, which makes the air kinda fuzzy, J is on the downhill side of familiarizing herself with kidney stones, and as I was racing pupdog down the driveway this morn I re-acquainted myself with the sensation of unplanned prostration on rough terrain.   So I switched my 2012 macbook air, still very functional but no longer supported by #Apple, to #Linux ElementaryOS 8.1, but there's an issue with battery management- green light on charge cable, but OS showing 6% on battery & not charging. Runs ok on charger, but batt gets really hot. Can’t find an explanation/fix on forums that are in layman terms. Also issues with installing apps through flatpak. 🤷‍♂️

  Wife is migrating away from #Microsoft / Google to #Linux, & is eyeballing a repairable/upgradable #Framework 16 laptop. She has tried to install Linux on 3 of her old laptops, but the hardware is incompatible. Just wondering if anyone has experience with Framework or Tuxedo laptops. She’s not a gamer, mostly just puzzles & podcasts. I’m a Mac guy, for now, so of little help.
