So I switched my 2012 macbook air, still very functional but no longer supported by #Apple, to #Linux ElementaryOS 8.1, but there's an issue with battery management- green light on charge cable, but OS showing 6% on battery & not charging. Runs ok on charger, but batt gets really hot. Can’t find an explanation/fix on forums that are in layman terms. Also issues with installing apps through flatpak. 🤷♂️

@ArrowbearMoore@toad.social also. yeah. battery is probably cooked. it's a pain to replace the original but once you finally get the thing out and swap it for another then replacing a battery is a lot easier since they don't use the apple gorilla glue.
