Nothing on this continent was bigger until the industrial era. The people who did this didn’t vanish. Their descendants are alive right now, and some of them live at Acoma,” If you’ve been there, you know what’s at stake. Google Earth image of #oil development already existing just north of the closure, incompatible with an area that has received little screening for significant evidence of one of this continents advanced cultures during the time of the Roman Empire. I worked for an archaeological surveyor & know what it entails. I worked for the NPS & know unique comments carry more weight than a signature. I've been to Chaco more than once & know it is more than a piece of #history. It is special. Say something

To drill, or not to drill. Deadline for comments is July 29. The administration wants to drill. What do you say? #Oil #Politics #Indigenous #History For those that don’t know much about Chaco Canyon - 56 minutes https://www.pbs.org/video/the-mystery-of-chaco-canyon-p7ax7d/ But wait, there’s more - Chaco culture extends far beyond the NHP. https://www.pbs.org/video/written-on-the-landscape-mysteries-beyond-chaco-canyon-1v0mvi/
