  Just finished reading this fever dream of a fairy tale. 100% recommend. Beautifully plotted and lushly & lyrically written, although some elements aren't entirely modern in sensibility ( witches = evil, magicians = good, and the story needed a Hero to resolve it). Main character was believable in spite of being a unicorn. Loved it. PS Any idea how I get it back to its library in Kinshasa? #bookstodon #books #amreading #fantasy #library

I remember discussing this with a chap from a local village and he seemed to know quite a few spots where cars had been buried. This though, is both spectacular and disturbing.

Atlee and members of his government were also instrumental in the domestic policies that kept the UK running during the blitz. But Churchill gets all the praise, and Thatcher, who began dismantling Atlee's work, is more revered. Does that not tell you who owns our politics?
