ok is there anything other than tbird for decent linux desktop mail clients for multiple IMAP/Gmail accounts? mailspring stinks. i am so frustrated, i cannot even begin to explain. despite having blown away my config several times and starting from nothing, i cannot reliably get IMAP accounts to notify me of new email in folders other than the inbox. this is with everything subscribed too. it's gotten so bad I've gone back to mutt to tell me what folders have email in them, then clicking on that folder in tbird, and THEN the UI updates to show me that, oh, wait, there ARE emails in there! oopsie poopsie i've tried the recs on various bugzilla bugs / forum posts and nothing seems to help. auuugh. and as new folders are added (by procmail rules, e.g. 1 new folder per github repo) it's not auto-subscribing to them, either, despite there being a config setting telling me that it should be. oh! also, the search sucks and frequently doesn't find things, important things, things i need for business reasons. i'm so frustrated.

@wohali I'm so sorry for your problems! All I know for email programs is tbird, Evolution, Geary, and Kmail, and I can't tell you if they'll work for you any better or not. Or I guess you could try Mutt or NeoMutt.

@wohali I use fetchmail + mutt + notmuch and it works well enough for me that I haven't used another email client in _years_ (for personal email).

Wrong Answers Only: Pine? Good grief, there’s a sort of maintained update, Alpine. Maybe! @wohali
