Useless as a screen door on a non-existent submarine. If he wants people to use less fuel, he should engage with state governments to make killer utes prohibitively expensive to own and operate. I’d like to see elbow say or do just one thing that shows initiative, or even express a single point of view that passes the “real person” test. Don’t tell me to pull my head in to help make an unjustified war more bearable. There are SUPPOSED to be consequences for doing the wrong thing. @maudenificent If he really wanted to do something, they’d sunset Diesel fuel rebate over the next five years, forcing a massive shift over to EV’s in the transport, construction and mining sectors. They’d also incentivise the heck out of EV’s; by restore the FBT exemption for PHEV’s, remove the FBT exemption for new fossil fueled vehicle purchases, and sunset the exemption on existing vehicles of this type. A clear market signal that the Government is going to stop subsiding fossil fuels.
