Had no idea too much cow's milk could cause iron deficiency in toddlers. I wasn't told anything in the early 2010s as a toddler mum, just that they could have cow's milk from age 1. Wonder if it doesn't get picked up til later in many cases, apropos of this school conversation the other day: Student #1 (to me): Miss, all us brown girls, we all have low iron. It's a thing. (To random Sri Lankan Aussie female friend walking past) Do you have low iron? Student #2 (laughing)...
