@maudenificent If he really wanted to do something, they’d sunset Diesel fuel rebate over the next five years, forcing a massive shift over to EV’s in the transport, construction and mining sectors. They’d also incentivise the heck out of EV’s; by restore the FBT exemption for PHEV’s, remove the FBT exemption for new fossil fueled vehicle purchases, and sunset the exemption on existing vehicles of this type. A clear market signal that the Government is going to stop subsiding fossil fuels.
