Here's the email researchers received today from Twitter. I've heard that when people responded, they got an auto-reply from someone who's no longer at the company 🙃

@natematias I was part of a cloud hosting startup that got bought. I lead the team that migrated customers out and shut down the services that the new owner didn't want. I'm seeing the same trends in Twitter. It seems like its being gradually shut down.

@natematias I am sympathetic to people whose research is disrupted by Musk's whimsical decisions, but I am also dubious of any twitter-based research, past or present.
