@timrichards have never stayed there but I have stayed at the New Zealand Alpine Club's Unwin Lodge a bunch of times.

@timrichards The clouds were low when I arrived at my accommodation. The view the next morning was breathtaking. The same thing happened when kids & I arrived at Queenstown, where our hotel room overlooked the Remarkables. Spectacular.
