  Seeing the lemon tea place on Lorne Street has reminded me that when I've hit mid-afternoon, drank as much coffee as I can take but it's too early for a beer, in Asia I'd pause for an iced lemon drink or Italian soda. That doesn't seem to have taken on in Auckland.

  Friday was a holiday to celebrate Matariki - Māori new year, which is tied to the first appearance for the year of the Pleiades star cluster.
