Still learning…but this is me. Love physical exercise like yoga 🧘🏼♀️ pilates or balance 🤸🏼♂️plus a bit of pump 🏋🏼♀️ but also happy to just walk 🚶♀️ I believe we’ve lost our way when it comes to food & am a proponent of J.E.R.F. Just Eat Real Food & very little processed or packaged food. Love my garden, especially when I grow my own produce. Not very good at it, but that’s ok. At 73 life is pretty damned good, healthier than I was 30yrs ago & intend to stay that way for as long as I can. Wiradjuri country.

If we have to have these things #Renewable powered is the smarter way. So good on Chris Bowen for ensuring this. #AusPol. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2026/aug/05/chris-bowen-vows-to-override-queensland-and-nt-to-force-renewables-powered-ai-datacentres

I’m home after a lovely walk around the river, just 5km but that’s enough for now. Very cold out as it was still only 7c when I left, I ended up nice & warm by the end though. Stopped off in town on my way home to get some cash from the hole in the wall & saw a couple of Rosellas that seem to be making use of another hole in a wall - maybe a nest or just checking it out. Home now & enjoying a hot lemongrass & ginger tea. #RiverWalk #MightyMurray #Wattle #Birds

Good morning tooters. It’s was a very cold frosty 🥶 morning today at -2c with a feels like of -4c & it certainly did feel that cold. Small black 🐀 💼 came & jumped on my bed during the night & curled into my back. Pretty good hot water bottle too. Larger 🐀 💼 stayed curled up in a corner of the lounge. As I’d been told to do when it’s really cold by the homeowner, I left the ducted heating on 16c all night just ticking over, so didn’t feel too cold when I got up at around 5.30am. Just...

@captainvellalives@lgbtqia.space Sorry you’re having to deal with this Vella. I’ve seen how hard it was when my niece was looking for a place for my brother who also has dementia. It’s very difficult because too many places don’t want to deal with it nor have the staff with enough knowledge to do so.

Good evening guys. What a day but absolutely brilliant. 9am we were out the door to the catch a train into the city, jump on another train to Frankston & then a bus to Langwarrin. Walked down McClelland Road to the sculpture park, had a coffee & a 2hr wander. What an amazing place. The following was the first sculpture we saw & it’s beautiful. There’s heaps more but I’m too tired tonight to share & go through descriptions which I find hard anyway. The second is a video I took as...

It’s grey, very windy out & starting to get dark, so I’ve done the jobs that need doing. I’ve fed the dogs, the cat & the chooks & have been gifted two eggs 🥚 🥚 for my brekky tomorrow, yum yum. My own dinner is just the soup I brought with me with a slice of cheesy toast, but I’m not at all hungry, I see how I feel in an hour or so. Time to settle down for the evening & watch some Netflix. #HouseSit #PetSit

Good morning tooters. Quite a blustery night last night with squally rain when I woke up & the cat wanting to come in. It’s not as if he doesn’t have a pet flap, but hey, why should he use a common pet flap used by the dogs when a human can let him in 🤣. Actually I think the neighbours might also be feeding him, he’s getting quite plump. 8c when I got up, but it definitely felt colder when I opened the door. Only reaching 12c here today too with more rain around. I have to get moving sho...

Had a lovely day out with Miss 7 & Miss 14 granddaughters today. I have only been to Corowa a few times over the 33yrs I’ve lived on the border. So most things were new to me too. Not a big town with around 5,600 population but they also border the even smaller town of Wahgunyah. We walked the Main Street which is actually Sanger St 😂 & we found all 3 op shops. Miss 7 loves her soft toys & chose a blue swimming turtle, miss 14 found some headphones & I found a lo...

Good morning tooters. Around 9c when I woke up this morning & it will be the same daily temp of 16c as it’s been for the last two days. Still very grey & overcast with more rain to come this afternoon. I was very glad when that storm finished late last night & I was able to have a last check of the back yard to reassure myself all was good & no water came in under the back garage door. I don’t even think the rain was as fierce nor as fast as those other rain events I’ve had. It d...

Such a lovely morning & early afternoon. My friend & I ended up taking the longest walk of almost 9km today, wandering around first Wodonga Creek & then the Murray River. Took us about 2hrs all up & even though we carried our umbrellas with us, the rain stayed away. Our feet got pretty wet though, but that’s no big deal. I was feeling it behind the knees by the end, but I’ve pulled up ok since. Then I took a side trip on the way home to my sisters to say goodbye to my niece &am...

Beautiful sunny day today even though I spent it at home. The visit by my daughter & the grandkids was lovely. I now have new slippers & they are so warm & were most definitely needed, plus a lovely citrus smelling candle. Then a phone call from my son who was at work, so I’m glad he remembered. It seems my sore shoulder wasn’t because I was moving heavy pavers yesterday but from my Covid shot as there is a great big bruise on my upper arm 🤷🏼♀️. I also got my lawns mowed th...

I received an email & SMS from a company that works with CHL (Community Housing) to tell me they’d been engaged for smoke alarm & Gas safety checks & gave me a day & time block & asked if it suited. It did so I gave the Yes reply to them. I’ve just received another SMS to tell me the technician will call me on my number on the day plus his name & the number he will call from. I love this because I don’t answer any call from any number I don’t recog...

Woohoo. It might actually be after daylight when I wake tomorrow - maybe! It’s going down to 3c tonight & I’m happy about it. I can pull up that extra quilt & be cosy & warm. Not hot 🥵 & sweaty 😥 like I’ve been for months feeling like a melting 🫠 puddle with the fan blowing on me. Not cold enough for a frost but this is my type of weather - sorry all you heat lovers - it’s my time 😃. I know I’ll be going brrr 🥶 it’s chilly this morning, but I’ll be ok with it 😁.

It’s not too early to have a shower & put on my pjs is it? It’s quite dull outside now & all my planned jobs are done. I have some fresh veg, I visited my friends & had a great catch up chat & I’ve given the pittosporums a really good haircut which got me all hot & sweaty as the sun was out then. I’ve also been researching small chainsaws & came across a little Ozito one, skin only for a very reasonable price. I don’t need a battery, I have quite a few Ozito products &am...

Good morning Fedi friends. It’s another 8c morning but there’s definitely a lot of cloud around today. No rain though, at least not until this evening & today it’s forecast to reach a fairly nice 24c. For the last couple of days my back has caused me a few issues, but I’ve obviously done all the right things because I woke this morning with no twinges, sore spots or pain. A lovely big full body stretch was achieved, you know those stretches that make you feel awesome - one of those 😃. It’s...

When I was a 13yrs old, a lifetime ago, I had the biggest crush on this singer. He was cute, had amazing hair & a beautiful voice. His name was all over my high school folders & I just thought he was the ants pants. Sixty years on & I start watching a series on SBS on Demand & his songs are what plays as the program starts & I’m transported back & I still think he was special. #Music https://youtube.com/watch?v=GU35oCHGhJ0&si=5ouFySOTARZADjXF

Lovely walk this morning, I left the house just before 8.30am & went along a different route to normal. Being out & about with the dogs really cleared my head after yesterday & I remembered something that happened & had forgotten about thanks to my headspace. Good morning Fedi friends. It was a very chilly 0c this morning & even now is only 1c. The sun is up & shining though & it’s going to reach a very pleasant 18c. Yesterday was a very full day, up at 5.30am to make sure all my house sit animals were dealt with, food, short walk etc before being picked up by a friend to head down to the alternative farming expo in Seymour for the day, a 2hr drive away. I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I did but it was fabulous, defini...

Good morning tooters. Just 7c this morning & yes I did put the heater on, started it at 23, dropped it to 22 an hour later & then down to 21 & it’s now off 😂. My body is warm but my feet are cold & half an hour ago I was too hot, sweaty & kicking off my slippers 🤷🏼♀️ - weird old woman 😬. It’s going to be a lovely warm 23c today & the sky is a bright nearly cloudless blue. My calm continues today as I take my time to finish my packing to go to my sit....
