@cyberpunklibrarian@masto.hackers.town I dunno if that's SUPER specific to you. :) I find myself frustrated about that too, often. I think anyone who uses a podcast app that they like would apprecite that. I do wonder if maybe there are a lot of people who literally don't have an RSS feed, though, and publish directly to Spotify. While I would argue that that might technically make it not a podcast, it might still be a thing.

@cyberpunklibrarian@masto.hackers.town Is there a federated Activity Pub solution for hosting your own podcasts? Why feed surveillance capitalism platforms like spotify? Set yourself free and use a federated platform or better yet, self host ;-). All spotify does for you is exploitation, and if you don’t control the platform you may find yourself competing with fascists and nazis for attention from the algorithm 🤮
