I remain 100% convinced that the ‘AI Mode’ tab now lurking at the left in Google’s results pages will at some point be switched to the default, and then most – or even all – of the other stuff (All, Images, Shopping, Videos, etc) will be quietly lobbed into a ravine.

@craiggrannell@mastodon.social As time goes by, I’m utterly baffled that so many people still use Google as their default search engine, when there are various, better alternatives available. It’s just a matter of memorising a new URL. No, it’s even easier: just select a different search engine in your browser defaults. The only thing I still use Google for — occasionally — is image search, as it can still return better results than DuckDuckGo or Bing.
