@Ember has there been any attempt to convince maintainers otherwise which has failed? I've not yet

@2something @Ember well that settles things real hard

@2something @Ember @jacksonchen666 I mean yeah, it is basically a manipulation machine. If you use it enough, the constant flattery and fake reassurances that it knows how to do things might eventually work! That is uhhhh not a good thing

@jackeric @2something @Ember @jacksonchen666 What version did they start using LLM code on? Maybe I can avoid updating itβ¦

@Ember Love how I literally just switched to xc last week because so many people said it was better than the OG KeePass. Cool. π

@Ember Can you share any sources on this? Sounds horrible π

@2something @Ember Thanks! I think I tried GNOME Secrets once but it failed by not clearing the paste buffer after 10 seconds. But I'll give it a go again π

@2something @Ember @valberg ah damn, I would've went for this if I was on Gnome, but I try to avoid Gnome apps cause of how badly they clash with KDE

@2something @Ember @valberg to be fair I do my "synching" by just putting the file on a server and then loading it from my phone lmao I don't know if KDE has *any* kind of password manager though?
-
@hazelnot@sunbeam.city 2025-11-07 23:42
@2something @Ember @valberg ah, fair, so the same way I've been doing it π

@argv_minus_one @2something @Ember @valberg I don't, I've never used Bitwarden/Vaultwarden
-
@hazelnot@sunbeam.city 2025-11-08 09:35
@argv_minus_one @2something @Ember @valberg they work fine, but they look incredibly out of place I actually like CSD, it's just the fact that they're unthemeable, or like, you can technically do it, but you need specific themes that override libadwaita stuff, and I'd have to change my whole desktop theme to match that as well

@Ember any alternatives I can move to?
-
@rlonstein@social.sdf.org 2025-11-07 14:17
@f4grx @anarceus @Ember KeepassX was discontinued a while ago. https://www.keepassx.org/index.html%3Fp=636.html

@rlonstein@social.sdf.org 2025-11-07 14:30
@f4grx @anarceus @Ember All the others I know of are "freemium" and/or not local only. I'm stuck too.
