I took my son out biking and on the way home he complained about cars and how there are too many cars which makes it harder to bike. He also said he wished there were more protected bike lanes. I’m so proud of him! #bikelife #BikeTooter

Two of my County Council members (one of whom will be County Executive next year) just introduced a bill to ban former employees of ICE and CBP from serving in local government jobs. We need more of this kind of energy. Working for fascist goon squads should make people ineligible for any position of power or responsibility.

My state primaries are coming up. I’m most interested in the county council elections - both the county executive and my county Councilmember could potentially be replaced by much more progressive candidates. If they win, it will radically shift the county council to be much less cop-friendly than before. We might also expand and strengthen existing rent stabilization laws. Anyway, I got yard signs!

Every time Meredith Whittaker posts something online a herd of white men shows up in her mentions to mansplain to her how #signal works and/or how it should be redesigned to…be a totally different thing. If Meredith Whittaker were a man, would these people be comfortable saying such damn fool things to her?
