One of my favorite research movies that I keep coming back to is Real Genius. It has aged a little but not as badly as most movies of that age. But it matters in that it raises the question: what can our research be used for? It had a big impact on me as I grew up and now as a researcher.

@minxdragon @lopalasi Same. I LOVE that movie. The bit about “all science and no philosophy“ has stuck with me since I first saw that movie at age 11. I’m now 51.
