@MaryAustinBooks@mstdn.social I often wonder why all the transphobic rage is never about trans men. It's always a fear of trans women. Why? It must have something to do with oppressive beliefs about cis women and people have told me "misogyny" but that doesn't make it clear to me how trans men are simply erased from the issue. I need it spelled out like I'm a space alien I guess.

@Nonya_Bidniss@infosec.exchange Transphobes are misogynists too, very tight correlation there. They see trans men as women and therefore harmless (and the Compliance Crew's website speaks to the "infantilization" of trans men as a reason they felt they could risk this). But that a "man" would want to "turn into" a woman (that is how they wrongly see it) just blows their minds, because women are supposed to be inferior.
