@RonJeffries@mastodon.social I'm pretty sure that "AI Overview" has stolen many tens of thousands more books about "moral choices on a gradient" than it has books about algorithms.
Why, then, is it desirable to discuss these issues with me instead of it?

@GeePawHill@mastodon.social You're human. It isn't. You're smart. It isn't. You have purpose. It hasn't. You're my friend. It isn't. You could search for a chink in my armor. It can't. Those things are important to me in a moral discussion, more than in a question of code, where the word extrusion is helpful although synthetic. But I haven't tried it. Possibly word soup would bubble up things to think about. Maybe a friendly-seeming thoughtless robot could be a decent thought mirror. Eliza users thought so.
