  Working in edtech for the last five years, me and my group worried a lot about students using LLMs to falsely pass the tests designed to to assess their progress. The question I asked, and it was never really answered very well, was this: Given that none of us actually believed test-passing was a very good assessment technique to begin with, what could we come up with that would be a better way to assess progress?

  If your left-leaning candidate lost their primary, that does *not* mean they -- or you -- failed. Parties can do math, and they respond to primary runs. If they move their dominant candidate even one inch to the left, as a result of a close-run primary, we still won. We didn't get in to this shithole in one election, and we're not gonna get out of it one election. Please don't storm off and non-vote in the generals.   The midterms are no sure thing. I am going to be asking you to vote for America's right-wing party, the Democrats, cuz they're *still* better than the batshit-crazy wing party. I'm not gonna shriek it at you. I would only offer you this tiny tidbit: actual semi-leftish persons won primaries and, in safe places, won generals. That is us winning. That is one inch.   So tired of "boomer" shit-talk. I have lived my entire adult life in cooperative/communal housing. I was raised by a single mom before your parents were born, on welfare. I have lived on the street. I am a boomer. I *am* wealthy: I live on ~550 acres of rolling wooded foothills with 60 other people, and I own a heritable lease to my house, and I also own my car, a '96 Honda CRV.
