Had a tiny win this evening. My beloved came home from a tea, having stuffed herself with finger food, and said, "You're gonna have to feed yourself tonight."
So I had a peanut butter sandwich and some potato chips and then some peach cobbler (from the tea).

The win: I have been telling her over and over for decades that I am a grown-ass man and I can feed myself. She still cooks about 80% of our dinners, and me the other 20%. I was delighted that she didn't let some silly guilt make her feel bad about not wanting to deal. Plus, I *like* peanut butter sandwiches and potato chips, and I *love* peach cobbler.
