Or that TERs aren't comparable because the passenger lacks access to drinks & snacks (convenient loophole!) So at best the 7:22am next day. But if that one is fully booked (likely if they have to rebook a whole cancelled train), that's not the earliest "opportunity" so you can end up on an arbitrary train next day.
