I find it astonishing that the parents of every single one of all the billions of people alive today had at least one child, as did all their ancestors; whereas tens of millions of people of current child rearing age, will break that tradition by remaining childless.

@anon_opin@mastodon.social why? There were billions and billions of people in the past who also didn't have children 🤷♂️ What's so special about the childless people of the current generation?
